Mediacciones is now involved in Mobile Livelihoods,  an interdisciplinary and international research programme that investigates the social and economic uses of mobile phones in the global South. It brings together anthropologists, other scholars and practitioners from around the world.

We also are working in different research projects about creative practices and will be present at the EASA2010 Conference, in the Media Anthropology Network workshop: The Rewards of Media  with the paper Engagement and creative labour in new media practices, that will take place in Ireland in August,  and in Hon-Kong, at the the 2010 ACS Crossroads Conference, with the paper Fans, Games and Creative Communitie vrs Productivity and Creative Labour in Game Appropiations.
